Amazon Web Services (AWS) and SAP SE announced an expanded collaboration on May 28, 2024, to transform modern cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) experiences and help enterprises drive new capabilities and efficiencies with generative artificial intelligence (AI). The partnership aims to make it easier for customers to adopt the RISE with SAP solution on AWS, improve the performance and efficiency of SAP workloads running in the cloud, and embed generative AI into an enterprise’s entire portfolio of business-critical applications. The generative AI hub in SAP AI Core will provide customers with secure access to a broad range of large language models (LLMs) that can easily be integrated into SAP business applications. SAP also plans to use AWS Graviton3 chips to support SAP HANA Cloud, delivering performance gains, cost savings, and energy efficiency.
