Digital Realty has begun construction of its third data center, NRT14, in the NRT Park in Inzai, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The data center is expected to be operational by December 2025, significantly increasing the availability of top-tier AI-ready infrastructure in Japan. NRT14 will add 31 megawatts (MW) of IT capacity to the park, bringing the total capacity to 104 MW. The data center is being developed by MC Digital Realty, a joint venture between Digital Realty and Mitsubishi Corporation. The new facility will use 100% renewable energy and innovative air-assisted liquid cooling (AALC) standards to help customers decarbonize their IT infrastructure and reduce environmental impact.
