On October 28, 2024, DigitalBridge Group, Inc., a global alternative asset manager investing in digital infrastructure, announced an agreement to acquire Yondr Group, a global developer and operator of hyperscale data centers, through one of its managed investment funds. Yondr, with over 420MW of capacity committed to hyperscalers and potential capacity of over 1GW, caters to the data center capacity demands of the world's largest technology companies. The investment from the DigitalBridge Fund will drive the development of sustainable data centers. Post-acquisition, Yondr will continue to operate independently within DigitalBridge’s portfolio. The deal is expected to close in early 2025.
