Oracle and TELMEX-Triara Open Second Cloud Region in Mexico to Enhance Digital Transformation
Oracle, in partnership with Teléfonos de México (TELMEX-Triara), announced the opening of a second Oracle Cloud Region in Mexico, located in Monterrey, Nuevo León, making it the first hyperscaler to have two cloud regions in the country. This strategic move aims to broaden access and provide greater resiliency for cloud services. The new Oracle Cloud Monterrey Region, hosted within TELMEX-Triara's data center, is part of Oracle's distributed cloud strategy and marks Oracle's 46th cloud region globally. It offers over 100 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and cloud applications, including Oracle Autonomous Database and AI infrastructure, to support public and private organizations in migrating, modernizing, and innovating their operations. This collaboration between Oracle and TELMEX-Triara is set to accelerate cloud adoption across Mexico, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure for scalability, redundancy, and workload distribution. It also addresses Mexico's data residency and sovereignty requirements by providing redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities. Additionally, the Oracle Cloud Monterrey Region is supported by more than 85 global and regional OCI FastConnect partners, such as Arelion, MCM Telecom, and TELMEX, to ensure dedicated connectivity with higher bandwidth and lower latency. Customers and analysts have welcomed the new region, highlighting its potential to support digital transformation and improve access to secure and agile cloud services.
