OVHcloud Launches Second-Gen Bare Metal Scale Servers for Advanced Workloads, November 2023

On November 14th, 2023, in Roubaix, OVHcloud, the European cloud leader, announced the launch of its second-generation Bare Metal Scale servers, following the successful first Scale lineup introduced in 2021. These high-performance dedicated servers are designed to meet the demands of intensive use cases in various sectors, including healthcare, finance, industry, public sectors, and media. Featuring advanced processors from AMD and NVIDIA, the new Bare Metal servers support applications such as confidential computing, big data, analytics, virtualization, container orchestration, and grid computing. The servers utilize AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization technology for enhanced VM isolation and offer significant compute power with AMD EPYC processors in configurations up to 256 cores and 512 threads. They also include up to 46 TB of NVMe storage and DDR5 memory configurations ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. Additionally, OVHcloud introduced SCALE-GPU dedicated servers leveraging NVIDIA L4 GPUs for machine learning and other intensive workloads. The second-generation servers come with guaranteed and unmetered public bandwidth of 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps and private bandwidth up to 25 Gbps. OVHcloud emphasizes data protection and sustainability in its data centers, highlighting its commitment to secure, environmentally friendly cloud services.
