Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, announced on April 8, 2024, a new pricing strategy for international customers, reducing prices by up to 59% on core public cloud products. This strategy, which covers compute, storage, network, database, and big data products, aims to make AI development more accessible and affordable. For instance, customers can now reduce costs by up to 30% and 59% for Elastic Compute Service (ECS) and Elastic Block Storage (EBS) respectively. The one-year package of 500 GB storage plan, popular among SMEs, has been cut to $16.99 from $63. The company also increased the free monthly usage of Cloud Data Transfer Service from 20GB to 200GB for international customers. These changes are applicable to both existing and new customers who place orders through the official Alibaba Cloud website.
