AQ Compute to Triple Data Center Capacity in Hønefoss, Norway, with Expansion Set for Q1 2025

AQ Compute announced on May 30, 2024, that it will triple its data center capacity in Hønefoss, Norway, with AQ-OSL1B and AQ-OSL1C set to go live in Q1 2025. The company plans to expand its AQ-OSL1 data center by 15 MW gross power, with expandable power up to 171 MW. This expansion will allow AQ Compute to continue meeting the growing AI and High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure requirements by providing sustainable, AI-ready colocation space in state-of-the-art liquid-cooled facilities with ultra-high rack density capabilities. The company has designed its cooling system to minimize water wastage and maximize efficiency, facilitated by the cold external climate.
