atNorth Announces Plans for 250MW Data Center in Denmark with Sustainability Focus, Expected to Open by Q2 2025
atNorth, a leading Nordic colocation, high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence service provider, has announced plans to build its largest data center, DEN02, in Ølgod, Varde, Denmark. The 174-hectare greenfield site will have an initial capacity of 250MW, with potential for several hundred megawatts. The data center will cater to data-intensive businesses such as hyperscalers and companies running AI and High-Performance Computing workloads. As part of its sustainability commitment, atNorth has partnered with Wa3rm to recycle excess heat from the new campus for use in large scale greenhouses for vegetable production and to provide heating and hot water for local communities. The company is also exploring the possibility of attracting sustainable power production around the DEN02 site. The data center is expected to open by Q2 2025.
