ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), a leading data centre colocation services provider based in Singapore, has announced the appointment of Bimal Khandelwal as the new CEO for STT GDC India, effective from October 5, 2024. Bimal, who previously served as the company's CFO, succeeds Sumit Mukhija, who has led STT GDC India since 2016. Under Sumit's leadership, the company expanded into 10 major markets in India and was recognized as the best colocation services provider in the country for six consecutive years. Bimal will leverage his extensive experience in telecommunications, financial services, and IT to drive STT GDC’s continued leadership in digital transformation in India. The company recently announced plans to invest US$3.2 billion to add 550MW of data centre capacity in India.
