Digital Realty Acquires $200 Million, 15MW Colocation Data Center in West London
Digital Realty, a global provider of data center, colocation, and interconnection solutions, announced on July 10, 2024, the acquisition of a colocation data center in the Slough Trading Estate, marking the company's entry into the west London submarket. The acquisition, worth $200 million, includes two data centers with a combined capacity of 15-megawatts (MW) and over 2,000 cross connects. This acquisition will enhance Digital Realty's existing Metro Connect solution and provide customers with access to ServiceFabric, Digital Realty's interconnection and orchestration platform. The Slough data center campus will be powered entirely by renewable energy, aligning with Digital Realty's sustainability goals.
