eStruxture Announces $750 Million CAD Investment for Alberta's Largest Data Center, CAL-3
On October 29, 2024, eStruxture, Canada's leading AI and hyperscale-ready data center platform, announced a $750 million CAD investment for the construction of CAL-3, Alberta's largest and most advanced data center. Expected to be operational by fall 2026, CAL-3 will provide 90MW of power, catering to the growing demands of AI and cloud service providers. Located in Rocky View County, north of Calgary, the data center will be equipped with energy-efficient power and cooling systems, supporting cabinet densities of up to 125kW and more, making it ideal for high-performance AI applications, GPUaaS, and hyperscale cloud infrastructure. The facility will offer multiple customizable data halls for scalability and will enhance the reliability of Alberta's digital infrastructure through its fully redundant inter-site connectivity with eStruxture’s CAL-1 and CAL-2 facilities.
