NTT DATA and Schneider Electric have announced a strategic partnership to empower enterprises with edge computing. The collaboration introduces a unique solution that integrates Edge, Private 5G, IoT, and Modular Data Centers, providing unparalleled connectivity and supporting the computational demands of Generative AI applications deployed at the edge. As part of the partnership, Microsoft plans to quadruple its investments in Spain, reaching $2.1 billion by the end of 2025. The companies will also open a Cloud Region of Data Centers in the Community of Madrid and build a Data Center Campus in Aragon. These infrastructures could add 8.4 billion euros to Spain's national GDP and create 69,000 jobs between 2026 and 2030. The partnership was announced on February 26, 2024.
