On May 15, 2024, NTT DATA announced the construction of a new data center, Jakarta 2 Annex Data Center (JKT2A), in Indonesia, set to be completed by early 2026. This expansion is part of a $10 billion investment in data center growth globally from 2023-2027. The JKT2A Data Center will support a planned capacity of 12MW of critical IT load and is located about 20km from Soekarno Hatto International Airport. The facility will feature air-cooling systems, robust security measures, and multiple redundant power sources. It will also offer 100% renewable energy options to clients, aligning with NTT DATA's goal of achieving net-zero emissions and sourcing 100% renewable energy by 2030.
