OVHcloud, a leading European cloud service provider, inaugurated the first Quantum computer available from a European Cloud service provider on March 18, 2024, in Croix, France. The Quantum computer, named Quandela MosaiQ, was purchased by OVHcloud in March 2023 and is now one of the few Quantum computers available in the cloud. It uses photonics principles to run quantum applications and will be used by OVHcloud for internal research and development efforts. In addition, OVHcloud announced an educational program to grant selected students from higher education institutions and universities access to the Quantum computer through the cloud.
