ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC Indonesia), a leading data centre services provider, announced on September 11, 2024, the groundbreaking of its second data centre facility, STT Jakarta 2, in Indonesia. The new facility, part of the STT Jakarta Data Centre Campus, has a development potential of 24 megawatts (MW) of IT power, supplied through dual feeds. The data centre is strategically located in Bekasi, Jawa Barat, and will offer an IT load capacity of 24 MW upon completion, contributing significantly to STT GDC Indonesia’s target of achieving a total IT load of over 90 MW in the coming years. The construction of the facility is underway and is expected to be completed by 2026. This follows the company's strategic partnership with the Indonesian Internet Service Provider Association (APJII) announced on August 8, 2024, to expand Indonesia Internet Exchange’s (IIX) coverage in Greater Jakarta with an IIX node in STT Jakarta 1.
