ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) Philippines announced on October 31, 2024, that the first phase of its STT Fairview 1 data center in Singapore is set to be operational by Q2 2025. Upon completion, the STT Fairview campus will be the largest data center in the Philippines, with a total IT capacity of 124MW. The data center is designed to support the country's digital transformation and the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. The AI industry in the Philippines is expected to contribute about $92 billion to the country's GDP by 2030 and grow at a compound annual growth rate of 28.57%, reaching $3.5 billion by 2030, up from the current $772 million.
