Trip.com Group Partners with AWS to Innovate Travel Experience with AI, Announces Global Expansion Plans
At AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) announced a multiyear strategic partnership with Trip.com Group, a leading international travel service provider, to enhance the travel experience for millions of travelers worldwide. This collaboration will leverage AWS's global infrastructure and cloud technologies to drive global expansion, seamless customer experiences, and innovation in the travel and hospitality industry. Earlier in the year, Trip.com Group and AWS established a joint innovation lab focusing on developing next-generation applications using generative AI and large language models for AI-driven customer service, hotel search optimization, and flight ticket demand forecasting. Utilizing AWS Graviton-powered Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud instances, Trip.com Group launched a vertical LLM in July to provide personalized travel recommendations and improve customer service. The partnership also includes migrating over 400 of Trip.com's international business microservices to AWS, significantly enhancing the speed and efficiency of its booking systems and leading to substantial cost savings. Additionally, Trip.com Group and AWS have launched "DreamNowTripLater" live video streams, promoting travel through low-latency video streams, resulting in $10 million in travel bookings. A four-year training program developed in collaboration with AWS will equip 2,000 Trip.com Group employees with new cloud skills in AI and machine learning.
