XXImo to Process Payments on AWS Cloud Across Europe, Starting Q1 2024
On November 29, 2023, in Antwerp, XXImo, a corporate mobility payments platform and part of the AutoBinck Group, announced its decision to fully embrace Amazon Web Services (AWS) for processing payments. This move, set to occur in the first quarter of 2024, positions XXImo as one of the first EU Visa card issuers to process payments entirely through the AWS Cloud, utilizing AWS Payment Cryptography and Visa Cloud Connect. This strategic shift aims to optimize operational expenses and scale the business, thereby making flexible mobility payments more accessible to corporate employers and resellers throughout Europe. As a licensed Payment and Electronic Money Institution (EMI), XXImo offers mobility payment cards and white-label solutions to various sectors, including fuel, parking, charging, fleet management, and leasing. The company anticipates significant growth driven by the demand for these compliant services over the next two years. Additionally, XXImo supports sustainability efforts by providing detailed analyses of employees’ mobility footprints to help businesses report carbon emissions. The migration to AWS is expected to enhance continuity, security, and scalability for XXImo's payment processing platform, while also expanding its research and development capabilities, including the exploration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to improve customer experiences.
