Yondr Group, a global leader, developer, owner operator, and service provider of hyperscale data centers, announced a strategic partnership with Marubeni Corporation, one of Japan's largest conglomerates, on February 15, 2024. The partnership will initially focus on delivering a site in West Tokyo, with plans for additional sites in the near future. This partnership will allow Yondr to establish a foothold in Tokyo, the world's second-largest data center market after Northern Virginia in the US, where Yondr already has a presence. The partnership is expected to meet the demand projected to reach 3+GW by 2029 in the Japanese market and continues Yondr's expansion in Asia, including developments in Johor, Malaysia.
