Yondr Group, a global developer, owner, and operator of hyperscale data centers, announced on May 30, 2024, that it has secured a loan facility of up to $150 million from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to fund the construction of the first phase of its hyperscale campus in Johor, Malaysia. The Johor campus, located in Sedenak Tech Park, will become the largest hyperscale data center campus in Southeast Asia, with over 300MW of IT load power capacity spread across 72.5 acres of land. The campus will facilitate regional businesses' access to the latest AI-cloud workloads and enhance the availability of digital services for individuals. The funding comes as demand for digital infrastructure in Asia continues to grow due to the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
