Microsoft plans to quadruple its investments in Spain, reaching $2.1 billion by the end of 2025, marking the company's largest investment in the country in its 37 years of operation. As part of Microsoft's commitment to promoting digital innovation and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the company plans to significantly increase its investments in AI and Cloud infrastructure in Spain during 2024-2025. Microsoft will soon open a Cloud Region of Data Centers in the Community of Madrid and has announced its intention to build a Data Center Campus in Aragon, which will serve European companies and public entities. These two infrastructures will provide Microsoft's cloud services with the highest guarantees of security, privacy, and data sovereignty. Microsoft's Data Centers in Spain could add EUR8.4B to the national GDP and contribute to the creation of 69,000 jobs between 2026 and 2030, according to an analysis by IDC.
