VIRTUS Data Centres Announces New 75MW AI-Ready Data Centre Campus in Saunderton, Buckinghamshire

VIRTUS Data Centres, a leading data centre owner-operator, announced plans for a new data centre campus in Saunderton, Buckinghamshire, UK, on February 19, 2024. The campus will be built on a 50-acre plot close to the existing data centre hub of Slough, west of London. The new campus, designed to meet the rapidly evolving needs of Artificial Intelligence (AI), comprises four data centres capable of delivering IT capacity of 75MW. Construction is set to commence in Q4 2024 and be ready for service in Q2 2026. The campus will feature 100% renewable energy and aims to achieve LEED Gold accreditation for sustainability. The project aligns with VIRTUS' commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030 and will create skilled jobs, invest in the community, and improve local infrastructure.
