On January 30, 2024, French data centre operator Data4 Group and European cloud leader OVHcloud announced a collaboration to support their customers throughout the cloud value chain. OVHcloud selected Data4 for its site in Marcoussis, Paris region, to consolidate its leadership in this strategic area. The partnership aims to ensure total transparency for customers regarding the environmental impact of digital infrastructures and services. Data4's Green Dashboard and OVHcloud's carbon calculator for its cloud services are initiatives towards this goal. The partnership will also see the integration of OVHcloud’s proprietary water cooling technology into Data4's systems, which is expected to save around 25% on electricity consumption compared to conventional air cooling.
