Equinix, Inc., a global digital infrastructure company, has launched its Heat Export program, which recovers residual heat from its International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data centers and exports it to surrounding communities. The program provides a cleaner alternative to traditional methods and has been implemented in several locations across Europe and the Americas. Starting next month, Equinix plans to export heat from its newest IBX in Paris, PA10, to the Plaine Saulnier urban development zone and the Olympic Aquatic Centre. The company is seeking partnerships with heat network operators, energy utilities, and local municipalities to expand its Heat Export program.
