In July 2024, Global Switch, a major data centre operator in Asia-Pacific and Europe, announced a strategic cooperation with TIME dotCom Berhad, a leading telecommunications service provider in Malaysia. This partnership aims to enhance connectivity in the Southeast Asian region for enterprise, hyper-scale, and generative AI customers. Global Switch 2 Tai Seng in Singapore will serve as a point of presence for Time’s Cross Peninsular Cable System (CPCS) and ASEAN-Grid (A-Grid) network, connecting Singapore and Malaysia to Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. This collaboration will leverage both companies' infrastructure to provide high-capacity, resilient, and low-latency connections, meeting the growing demand for data exchange and digital trade in the region.
