Microsoft Launches First Datacenter Region in Mexico, Expected to Generate $70.7 Billion in New Revenues Over Four Years

Microsoft has announced the launch of its first datacenter region in Mexico, named Mexico Central. The new cloud region, located in the Queretaro Metropolitan area, is expected to generate about $70.7 billion in new revenues over the next four years, creating over 300,000 jobs in various industries in Mexico. The cloud region will deliver services including Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Gaming services. The new region will serve Mexican companies requiring services on Mexican soil and global organizations looking to leverage the Mexican region for their digital transformation. Companies like Kio Networks, MCM Telecom, and Megaport are among the organizations leveraging this new project.
